EqualEngineers is pleased to partner with Diversity Role Models for the Engineering Talent Awards 2020.
We share the value set of DRM on embedding inclusion and empathy in the next generation and their vision for a world bully-free, where everyone embraces diversity and can thrive.
The ETAs will aim to raise £10,000 to support DRM in delivering their inclusion workshops in up to eight low-income schools in London and up to 1,000 students.
The project will also support the recruitment of role models from the engineering industry who will be trained to deliver the classroom sessions, which will feature personal stories which challenge professional stereotypes, starting with engineering.
We are excited to partner on this collaboration because it allows young students to have a meaningful encounter with an engineer, learn about the importance of empathy and challenges the social stereotypes which pigeonhole certain individuals into particular professions.
