John is currently the Director of Engineering & Innovation with SSE Renewables and has worked in the energy industry for over 30 years. He is also a Trustee at the Glasgow Science Centre and has served on the Board for over 7 years.

A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET, John studied Electronic Engineering in Birmingham and has a Master’s Degree in Business.
